Agri-marketing is an initiative that aims to improve the agri-marketing skills and practices of farmers and rural entrepreneurs by developing vocational training material and delivering pilot training on modern day agri-marketing in UK; Greece; Czech Republic; Turkey; Hungary; Italy. It is supported by the EU funded Leonardo Programme.

Training material is being developed based on best practice case studies in the participating countries, covering various aspects of agri- marketing including: branding; supply chain management; food safety and quality issues; environment; product development; market research; market information systems; farmers markets and farm shops. The focus is on alternative and non-traditional crops, speciality and locally produced foods and branded production, farmer retail and wholesale markets and the new technological approaches offered through e-commerce.

Key trainers in each participating country will be trained in effective delivery of the new training material and pilot training to final beneficiaries will also be conducted. A number of country level workshops are being organized and an international conference is planned for wide consultation and dissemination of the project results.

The Project strives to ensure maximum use of the training material and associated results, both within the participating countries and elsewhere.
